ALDI Australia

Test run for the Mangelberger/Aldi solution now set for ALDI Australia too

Roth, January 2011 – The management of ALDI Australia has energy saving right at the top of its agenda. That's why the first comprehensive test run is being done with a standardized solution developed by Mangelberger for ALDI at the Albion Park store near Sydney. The aim is to assess the potential available to ALDI Australia for the long-term optimising of energy consumption.

In the case of ALDI Australia too, what made the management decide to use a standardised Mangelberger main distribution board was the unique range of functions that this technology package offers. Designed specifically for Aldi and/or Hofer, it includes an integrated energy management system and an online database. The technical range of Smart MultiMeter developed by Mangelberger makes it the only one of its kind on the market - and its price-performance ratio is literally unbeatable.

Every chain knows the problem. There's a sudden upwards blip on the energy consumption chart , and the long, laborious search begins for the cause of the trouble, the store or machine that's actually responsible. The usual technical solutions are far too expensive and clumsy because they mean installing a lot of costly sub-consumption meters which have to be connected to an over-arching data collection and communication system. What the Mangelberger Smart MultiMeter does is to provide a separate analysis of each of the sub-consumers for air conditioners, ventilation systems and all the desired refrigeration units - transparently, economically and above all simply. Just one of these compact and inexpensive modules is needed to collect the data of up to four machines or systems, which can in addition be shown as separate cost items.

The tried and tested, innovative Mangelberger database will for the first time be used at an Australian ALDI store for the management of all energy consumption data, HACCP temperatures and the store's own carbon footprint. The data can then be compared with  stores in Austria, Switzerland Slovenia, Greece and Hungary.
