Yorma's

Third Yorma's restaurant standardized and with optimized energy consumption

The first cooperation between Yorma's and Mangelberger in the restaurant at Augsburg Central Station is now to be followed by their joint structuring and optimization of two new locations in Essen and Koblenz.

Convenience is the keynote not only of the restaurant's food offering but also of the technology that Mangelberger has brought to the business, with its focus on standardization, ease of operation and automated energy savings. In the new restaurants, staff and management can concentrate solely on their work, knowing that Mangelberger's integrated energy management system, tailored precisely to the needs of Yorma's branch control, will ensure exact controls of energy consumption and therefore minimized energy costs. Compared with the group's conventionally constructed restaurants, power demand at the Augsburg restaurant was reduced by around 35% - a figure which of course represents the minimum target for the new operations at Essen and Koblenz.

An online database makes it possible to analyze the consumption of all utilities, such as power, gas and water, plus subconsumers like cooling and air-conditioning systems, at all the group's restaurants. The benefit resulting from each energy-saving measure thus becomes apparent, and there is a further significant rise in the savings potential. The completion of the Essen restaurant will see the activation of the first automatic malfunction control system, with emails or SMS sent direct from the distribution unit. So don't you dare leave the doors of the cooling and freezing rooms open too long!
