McDonald's International

Around the corner - around the world

Win new customers through successful work – what could be more rewarding! At the end of the 80's Mangelberger began with the development and the building of standardised switchgear for McDonald's in Germany, Austria followed in 1990 with the first restaurant on Vienna’s Schwarzenbergplatz. Czech Pepublic, Poland and Estland followed, the global co-operation with McDonald's had started. In the mean time we have become the supplier for switchgear on three continents - in most countries, as for example Austria, as exclusive expansion partner. Of course we also take care of the realisation of the entire electrical engineering every now and again – as it happened in 1995 with the erection of the first restaurant in the politically still unstable Zagreb.

Permanent advancing of the technology concept and constant adjustment to the needs of the customer shape the co-operation. Despite state-specific regulations the Corporate Technology cut particularly to the requirements of McDonald's can be transferred invariably to other countries: standardised kitchens are supplied via standardised distributions, identical operating surfaces guarantee, apart from the respective national language, world-wide identical control functions.

In 1995, after a two-year development period at Mangelberger, the European-wide uniform control EMS was implemented for the first time in Fuerth (Germany), Hans-Vogel-Strasse. It forms, among other things, the basis for the world-wide energy and utility management at McDonald's. By constantly accessing the real time data of each individual store, gathered in a central, web-based data base, the buyers can react to trends in time and optimise the global energy purchase.
