One of the most constant and probably most intensive customer relationships began for Mangelberger in 1990. McDonald's Austria took over the concept for market-oriented, standardised distribution systems with integrated energy management EMS for all new McDonald's restaurants and still stands by this decision today. Jointly responsible for the successful implementation and the continuous advancement of the Mangelberger technology during all this time was certainly the helpful and focused co-operation with the specialist planners Elkatec and the Austrian McDonald's team. Thus e.g. McDonald's Austria suggested that a trend analysis be offered as a further possibility of the energy evaluation.

All consumption data of the Austrian McDonald's restaurants is passed on by the local energy management system EMS to a central data base in the McDonald's intranet. The analysis software developed by Mangelberger also shows, in addition to maximum values and energy consumption, periods of operation in graphic and tabular form and offers a multiplicity of evaluations.

The trend analysis projects the energy costs to be expected at the end of the year, already during the year, and thus permits the build-up of realistic reserves or the calculation of energy cost reimbursements. It is based on the historical consumption values of the past three years as well as up to date consumption and circumstances like e.g. the outside temperature.
