McDonald's Latvia

Riga - the proud beauty in the Baltic states

The small country in Northern Europe is about as large as Bavaria, but its inhabitants don’t squeeze themselves into giant urban developments or densely populated countryside. Extensive forest areas, unspoiled lake districts and the fissured shoreline of the Baltic Sea dominate the scenery. The centerpoint of the country - both geographically and culturally - is famous Riga. Even today it is a very special pleasure to saunter through the once so important hanseatic city, with its art nouveau buildings and the well kept historic part of town.

Of course Riga was also the location for the first Latvian McDonald's restaurant. It was opened In 1995 at the Krasta lela 101. Mangelberger was, as is so often the case, also involved and, since then, has accompanied McDonald's International with its expansion in the entire Baltic area.
