McDonald's Switzerland
Which special advantages must a holiday resort have, when it can only be reached by train, but is nevertheless one of the most popular winter sports destinations of the international jet setters? The Swiss Zermatt certainly profits from the unique panoramic location at the foot of the Matterhorn. A little of the former idyll of the Wallis mountain village still remains between modern hotel complexes - among other things the historical railway.
McDonald's also fits perfectly into the tourist surroundings of Zermatt with its architecture and interior design. The standard distribution, as with a variety of different Swiss restaurants, was supplied by Mangelberger.
The co-operation between Mangelberger and McDonald's Switzerland began in June 1996. Together with the specialist Swiss planners, first of all the electrical plans were adapted to the Mangelberger standard, in a second step came the introduction of the standardised switchboard. At the end of this development process the internationally harmonised standard electrical installation was ready. After successful first start-up in the restaurant "Riedstrasse" in Frauenfeld, the Mangelberger technicians went on a journey right through all the cantons - from the German, across the Italian up to French Switzerland. The part of Switzerland where the respective restaurant is located, has absolutely no effect on our switchboard by the way. Controllers including energy management are multilingual and can be changed to the corresponding official language with the push of a button.
