Digital IDs
A very important condition for carrying out business transactions over networks is, what by now in many places is called ' Trust ': Do I know for certain who Im doing business with? Is the business binding? Are my business dealings safe and confidential?
Mangelberger issues certificates (so-called digital IDs) for male and female employees and for the Mangelberger website. These certificates clearly and positively identify a person or a server; they correspond to the International Telecommunication Union standard X.509V3.
Mangelberger developed a Public key infrastructure for the issuing of certificates (PKI), in accordance with which the identity of the respective person or the respective server is determined/checked and a Certification Authority which confirms the person and/or the server by its digital signature on the certificate
If a Mangelberger certificate is electronically submitted to you, e.g. by e-Mail, and you want to convince yourself about its authenticity, all you need to do is compare the signature on the submitted certificate with the original signature on the Mangelberger Certification Authority.
