Green Tech Innovation Award 2023
Dr. Franziska Brantner, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection, awarded Jürgen Mangelberger, representative for the Arkides-team for the Circular Economy project in switchgear remanufacturing as part of the GREET TECH INNOVATION PROGRAM. Since 2021, Mangelberger has been buying back end-of-use switchgears in order to dismantle and separate the raw materials they contain and subsequently integrate them into new distribution boards. In the future, this will happen automatically, with robots, AI-supported, via auto-multi-spectral analysis, self-learning and during times when others have no significant energy demand. Why ? To protect our environment and to improve the product carbon footprint of our new panels significantly. We, that is Breit Formenbau KG, Mangelberger Elektrotechnik GmbH and FAPS (Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg). A team of technicians and scientists, which approaches things easy, but takes them quite seriously. We keep on moving!
