It was in 2015 when we implemented our first robot in switchboard manufacturing. Ten years later, our robotics equipment continuously equips individual switchboards at any time of the day or night.
Thousands of circuit breakers, relays, terminal blocks from suppliers such as ABB, Siemens, Schneider, Weidmüller, and Striebel & John are digitized, scanned, measured, assembled, laser-labeled, screwed together, and inspected.
Researching for the future
AI applications support our project managers in the cost-effective standardization of customer-specific switchboard systems. Intelligent workspaces automatically record system-related working times and analyze the blood pressure, heart rate, and biorhythms of our employees. Initial AI models are thus able to adjust the speed of robots according to the optimal workload for each individual employee.

“Fast Track” brings back memories of our childhood: the “Fast Track” bypass route on the ski lift that allowed ski lessons to get back to the top of the mountain a little faster. We at Mangelberger have taken this as an example and integrated our own “Fast Track” lanes into our production process. This enables us to offer our local and global customers in the restaurant, supermarket, and fashion industries the shortest possible delivery times.
The future starts now
We are still a long way from the finish line. That is why projects in cooperation with universities focus on humanoid robots, automated output testing and optimized end-of-life dismantling of repurchased switchboards.
Our goal? Satisfaction.
It works! But what is the final goal in automated switchgear manufacturing? Quite simply: satisfaction. The satisfaction of our customers. And the satisfaction of our employees, who can sleep soundly thanks to their tireless colleagues, such as our robots ...
