FAQs about Mangelberger’s Services
What advantages does a standardised switchboard give me?
The advantage is in its operation. With a standardised switchboard each branch can be controlled. Whether you change from one branch to the next, or you’re helping a new colleague in another branch over the phone, or you want to change the opening times of the central branch: you’ve got everything at your fingertips in the simplest way ever. For example, your advertising lighting is equally and immediately controllable in every branch, as it carries the same name and the same electrical circuit number.
How do I know that the operation of a switchboard is simple if I have never had any experience with such systems?
We produce a free sample switchboard that meets your requirements, with no obligation to buy. Then we visit you onsite so you can fully understand how the whole thing works. We know what you’re thinking – doing this must cost us money. And you’d be right. But we’ve found that in the interest of an honest and long-term customer relationship the investment is worth it.
What will such a switchboard cost me and what configuration level do you recommend?
Contact us and send us your specs. Then we’ll work out a customised concept for you – with no cost and no obligation to take it further.
Does standardisation mean that all equipment must be at each branch?
No, because we work out a standardised layout that will cover all the bases; while you only use (and pay for) those things specific to your branch(es) and that you require in the relevant branch(es).
Who should purchase the switchboard from Mangelberger: the operator, the general contractor or the electrician?
It’s completely up to you! We always recommend to our customers, though, that they make the purchase via the electrician that is going to carry out the work. This does involve an additional charge, but in return you have clear responsibilities and in the case of a warranty claim you only have one person to deal with for all your electrical matters.
What delivery time can I expect for such a standard switchboard?
We’re one of the first companies across the world using fully automated Robot production. As a rule we envisage a delivery time of three weeks. If you need it sooner, please let us know – we’re all about finding the right solution.
Can a switchboard be extended at short notice due to unforeseen events? Can the electrician also take this on just before an opening?
The electricians carrying out the work can make adjustments without any problems. If requested, we’re happy to support them remotely or by telephone. If they need to make bigger alterations, we’ll be there waiting on their doorstep, ready to help. We’ve never left a customer in the lurch.
What happens if there’s a fault outside of office hours?
Together with edison street, we’re able to offer a separate support centre, open 24/7. The staff there can enter into a contract or book a short-term individual support visit, all of which is covered by a low lump-sum fee.
How can I be sure that energy and money are really saved by ‘Energy Management’?
It’s simple: we get the energy consumption data for the relevant (or comparable) branch with its current provider, and we compare that result to a branch with our technology. So we can show you exactly where and how much we save you.
Do I save something through your Energy Management with your technology in every case?
We’ve already documented the most amazing results, but in the case of an older building, where the ventilation doesn’t work or the refrigeration units don’t cool properly, and maybe the outside lighting is defective? Then sure, you’ll barely notice a change in energy consumption. However, we make up for that by uncovering defects within the framework. The ‘additional expense’ for energy that results from this is happily accepted by most of our customers.
In which countries are you represented or where can you support us locally?
With the exception of the USA and Canada, we can be wherever you are.
