Mangelberger project managers coordinating a store plan

Project management.

For expertise with a plan.

The starting point is always a standard circuit diagram that we have developed. Building on this, our planning support ranges from sockets in ancillary rooms to equipment connections for cooking and refrigeration equipment, tills, receipt printers, fruit scales and lighting. On top of this comes the adaptation of detailed plans for the kitchen, server systems, POS systems and refrigeration.

We currently have six experienced project managers at your disposal.

Regional briefing.

For an international standard.

For cross-border standardisation, we create a global plan that can be adapted for different countries. On request, we brief your regional specialist planners on site so that they can look after your national stores.

Dining room of a restaurant chain outlet

Pizza Pilgrims.

Servus in Munich.

The British pizzeria chain “Pizza Pilgrims” runs 26 restaurants in the UK. For the opening of its first restaurant in Germany, on Munich’s Leopoldstraße, we not only standardised the electrical distribution board but also handled the electrical planning and installation.

The particular challenge: making do with the available connected load, which is not exactly generous. Thanks to our energy management, everything runs anyway. Welcome.

Frequently asked questions about electrical planning for stores

What exactly does electrical planning by Mangelberger include?

Together with your architect or interior designer, we plan all the electrical, IT and lighting technology in your store. We first develop a standard switch cabinet tailored to your needs and – based on this – the circuits and interfaces to kitchen, refrigeration, tills, signage, heating, ventilation and lighting. From the very first plan, we make sure further national and international store rollouts are possible using the same system. We create plans that are as coherent as they are easy to understand. Our expertise in store planning supports the profitability of your rollout … and shortens the payback period of your investment.

Which interfaces and details do you pay attention to in your planning?

First of all, of course, we pay attention to the individual requirements of the store and the client. We integrate the details from architects and interior designers. We add circuits, item numbers and cost notes to detailed plans for kitchen, refrigeration, IT or lighting. We take into account interfaces to trades such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, photovoltaics, e-mobility, storage or backup power supplies. And we work all of this out in a wonderfully understandable way. This minimises queries. And saves time and money.

Which mistakes are particularly common in the electrical planning of stores?

The most common mistake made by local specialist planning offices is oversizing the connected load required by stores. This often leads to high costs for extending the existing power connection or installing a new one. In addition, the circuit designations of the switchgear are often not transferred to the detailed plans, which leads to queries or errors during the electrical installation. The availability and costs of maintenance companies should also be integrated into the planning at an early stage. Here it can make sense to protect some consumers in a slightly “more expensive” way so as to avoid needing a service technician at short notice later on.

In which countries has Mangelberger already carried out electrical planning?

We have already implemented our standardised and often internationalised planning in Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, the United Kingdom, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland and Slovenia, among others, and even on the other side of our wonderful globe … in Australia.
