Our energy management systems are the watchful eye in your store. They detect ventilation and air-conditioning systems running when they shouldn’t, control the start-up of kitchen equipment, monitor room and refrigerated cabinet temperatures and much more.

As the operator, you have everything in view: from total power consumption and relevant individual consumers to phase loads and reactive power share through to peak load … and when it occurs. All of this is recorded continuously, compressed per data record and stored for you for several years.

You can view the data on your energy consumption on a display at the controller, on an additional screen in the store or comfortably from your office chair in a database. It is called ALVA, was developed by us and is BAFA-qualified.

We detect anomalies, inefficient running times and unusual consumption patterns at an early stage. On request, we provide specially prepared energy analyses and intelligent reports for each of your stores.

Even before opening

With our opening reports, you know the future energy and operating costs of your store BEFORE it opens. Avoidable overconsumption is analysed and potential for optimisation is identified. So everything can be precisely adjusted before you pay for your store technology.

Perhaps the building only has a limited connected load? In that case, our ZEMS plug-in can pay for itself before the store even opens: because there is no need for the energy supplier to carry out a costly and time-consuming upgrade of the electrical supply line.

A switch cabinet tailored to your needs with a store control plug-in has a lot to offer: thanks to its modular configuration, you get a central energy management system (ZEMS) with exactly the features you need for each store.

When you move out of a store, the ZEMS plug-in is simply removed. We buy it back. Or you install it in the distribution board of a new store. Click. Done.

Who offers the best energy management systems for stores?

That’s something you have to find out for yourself. But at Mangelberger we see ourselves in a good position to get the best out of your store too, to control energy consumption smartly, reduce it and optimise it for the long term. Just as we do for thousands of stores worldwide.

How do I optimise the energy consumption of my stores?

Ideally with a solution tailored to the needs of each individual store. It is particularly efficient if the energy management can be customised through configuration, e.g. for HACCP, ventilation, kitchen start-up or peak load control in accordance with § 14a EnWG.

When does the investment in a store’s energy management pay for itself?

The costs pay for themselves individually for each store through lower operating costs and – with smart control – through the longer service life of electrical equipment and components. In some cases, you achieve a return on investment (ROI) before a store even opens: because smart control of all consumers reduces the peak load, so there is no need for the energy supplier to upgrade the building connection.

Can I integrate energy management into an old switch cabinet?

Yes, if it is a Mangelberger switch cabinet. If your switch cabinet was not manufactured by us, our “ZEMS add-on” offers the solution you need. It can be docked onto an existing switch cabinet and configured individually.
